The gentleman's hour
An hour that belongs to nobody else.
We are not in a hurry, and for the hour you are with us, neither are you. The door closes on the Mittelweg traffic, the light drops to tungsten, and somebody who has done this for twenty years takes over.
Everything in the room is deliberate. Towels folded by hand and heated, not steamed at you. A razor stropped before it touches skin. A drink poured before you have had to ask for it twice.
The gentleman's hour is a ritual, not a guest list. Anyone who wants that hour is welcome to it, and gets exactly the same one.

Whisky, coffee or tea?
We ask the question when you book, not when you are already in the chair with a towel round your neck. By the time your coat is on the hook it is poured and set down on the brass table beside you.
