Terms and conditions

These terms apply to all appointments, memberships and gift cards agreed with Herrenzimmer Brandt e.K., Mittelweg 112, 20149 Hamburg ("the salon"), whether booked in the room, by telephone or through this website.

A booking made on this website is a request to reserve an appointment. The contract comes into effect when we confirm the appointment by email or telephone.

For gift cards, the contract comes into effect when we confirm the order in writing. Payment is due before the card is issued.

All prices are in euros and include statutory VAT. The prices in force are those shown on this website on the day of the appointment.

Payment is due after the service, in cash or by debit or credit card. Memberships and gift cards are paid in advance by bank transfer.

Appointments may be cancelled free of charge up to twenty-four hours before the agreed time. For later cancellations or non-attendance we may charge fifty per cent of the price of the booked ritual, since the chair cannot be filled at short notice. You are free to prove that we suffered no loss or a smaller one.

If you arrive late we will keep the appointment and shorten the ritual accordingly; the full price remains payable. If you are more than fifteen minutes late we may treat the appointment as cancelled.

A membership runs for twelve months from the day it is issued and includes twelve signature cuts and the member rates described on the membership page.

The membership does not renew automatically. Up to three unused cuts may be carried into a following membership year if the membership is renewed; otherwise they lapse at the end of the term.

The membership may be paused once per year for up to three months; the end date moves accordingly. Memberships are personal and non-transferable, save for the guest passes included in them.

Gift cards are valid for three years from the end of the calendar year in which they were issued (§ 195, § 199 BGB). They may be used for any service in the salon and are transferable. They cannot be paid out in cash and cannot be combined with member rates on the same service.

A lost gift card can be replaced only if it can be clearly identified from our records.

We provide our services with the care usual in the trade. Please tell us before an appointment about skin conditions, allergies, medication affecting the skin, or recent treatments, so that we can adapt or decline a ritual. We may refuse a treatment where we consider it unsafe.

Colour and grey blending are carried out only after a patch test if you have not had the product before. Results depend on your natural hair and cannot be guaranteed to match a photograph.

Whisky is served only to guests aged eighteen and over and only in the quantity described. We may decline to serve alcohol at our discretion, in particular where a guest appears intoxicated.

We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, and then only for foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the consumer resides remain unaffected. Should a provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
